Chef Vlady

Bulgarian born Chef Vlady has 10 years of culinary experience, he is one of the youngest and fastest growing chefs in the country. He has worked with some of the most renowned Chefs in Bulgaria and progressed his career to be the Executive Chef of restaurant Corso, one of the biggest and best restaurants in downtown Sofia.

Over the years Vlady has travelled around the world and worked in renowned restaurants in countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium and America. He has developed his unique style of cooking and preparing food by mixing Asian flavours with European dishes while incorporating the comfort of the southern American cuisine.

Chef Vlady graduated from the professional high school of tourism in his home town Ruse and HRC Culinary Academy in Sofia. Currently Vlady is visiting lecturer and an assistant Chef instructor in HRC Culinary Academy.

In 2015 he competed in the ‘ACF AND WORLD CHEFS CULINARY SALON’ competition which took place in Virginia, USA. He won first place and a golden medal in the student category.

In 2016 Vlady was awarded ‘Chef of the year’ in his home country of Bulgaria. In the same year he was selected to be part of the ‘National Culinary Team of Bulgaria’, who competed at the Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany, the team came back with bronze medal.

Some of the things that Vlady likes the most is making bread and cooking for friends, because cooking means caring and if you care for someone this is one of the ways to show it to them.
